That thing where gay men masquerade as feminists but actually miss the point completely by not realizing that the root of “homophobia” is actually misogyny and the disgust at the (completely misguided) notion that a man would want to betray their nature-given maleness by (supposedly) acting as a stand-in for a woman during sex and god who would ever want to be a woman ‘cause that’s like the worst thing ever right???? so they pretend like they give a shit about women or how they are treated or the female experience because they think it aligns with their struggle when they would just as soon leave women behind even in their own movement for convenience while (likely) still using oppressive and misogynistic language as sassy pronouns.

I get your point, but to group all gay men together, well that’s just ignorance on your part. I would fight for the rights of any woman just as quickly and as passionately as I would for my rights as a gay man. DO NOT group us all together, ever. We are all different individuals, just as every other human being is. Obviously, you missed the point of third wave feminism… the part where we want equal right for everyone. Regardless of their own shallow minded agendas.

If you really think that you would fight just as hard for women’s rights as for your own then this wasn’t about you. You need to read this and think about how it relates to what you’re doing right now. If you’re really concerned about women you wouldn’t bring the conversation back on to yourself to prove you’re one of the good ones. You wouldn’t have to.

You know a movement has issues when someone tries to convince you to not be on their side.

A Holiday update video I made to my Kickstarter. We are really making a great deal of progress in raising money for this MFA catalog. We would love you guy’s support. Heck, there is ART that can be yours if you donate!
