Just a sneak peek of two of the paintings I am making for The Layman Group’s new office in downtown auburn. Ive transitioned somewhat away from the pure portraiture of the past few months, to something a little more graphic heavy. The show is tomorrow, and I have tons to do!
Been a whirlwind week, 3 paintings in 1 week!? The two above are 1 and 2 (left and right) that are part of a new series of works I am calling “Cultural Commodities” Recently finished paintings on display in The Layman Group office/gallery in Auburn, AL. They will be added to the artwork section once I get good enough images.
Day one, working on commission. Things are looking rather good considering this is the first layer of paint. Need to sit back a while and let it stiffen up before I go further.
An update on a commission I am doing. I am waiting on the shirt to dry so that I can refine it. I am also do a little work on the left side of the background, but I haven’t got to that yet.
Update on another commission. A few weeks back I posted a picture of this painting, with the girl not painted in at all yet. Well, here it is painted in. I am waiting on it to dry so that I can modify some things.
Edit: I really am hating a great deal about this painting so far. Totally out of my realm, and… fuck I’ll just say it. I. DONT. DO. FLOWERS.
Commissioned painting “Carletta” complete.
New work from earlier this year that I uploaded to my site. “Milky Way”
